Pricing
Much as I would love to give everyone a simple set of prices, truthfully there are a lot of variables that affect pricing, all of which basically come down to "how complicated is it?" So my own quote will always be the final word.

Add-Ons:
Percentages add on to the base price and increase with complexity. (Don’t worry, it’s not exponential.)
- Companion animal: +25% or higher
- Additional character: +75% or higher
- Simple illustrated background: +20% or higher
- Detailed background: +50% or higher
- Extra complexity (especially fancy armor, feathered wings, mechanical parts, intricate patterns, specific likenesses, specific art styles): +15% or higher
- Rush charge (moves the job to the front of the queue, and I won’t charge you for this if other people have already beaten you to it): +100%
- Character mask: +$15. A flat fee for delivering both your finished high-resolution art and a separate PNG of just your character isolated on a transparent background, ready to be used in social media posts, banners, newsletters, and ads.
What’s Included:
- All jobs will include a high-resolution CMYK PDF at the agreed size, plus an RGB version in either JPEG or PNG versions (or both, if you bought the character mask option).
- Unlimited revisions at the sketch stage (within reason).
- License for personal use as well as use for digital promotion (social media, websites, newsletters, online ads, etc.) with artist credit.

Cover illustrations and typography are priced per project, depending on format, complexity, and other circumstances. Please contact me for a quote.

What you should expect
- Inquiry: you reach out to me for a commission, sending me a description of your character and maybe even references. Tell me what you’re using the art for (it matters!) and if you have any specific formatting or resolution needs.
- Quote: I will confirm the price and the timeline.
- Contract: I will send you a contract to sign. (Don’t freak out! This is to protect both of us. Read it and make sure I didn’t misunderstand something important.)
- Deposit: You pay 50% up front through Ko-fi to confirm your slot.
- Sketch: I will send you a sketch and we will work back and forth until you’re happy with it.
- Render: Once you give me the okay, I move on to final rendering.
- Delivery: You pay the remaining 50% and I send you the finished files. I estimate that most commissions will take between two and six weeks, but if that changes I will be sure to let you know.
